For this picture, I was asked to score the majority of the Film, in addition to scenes completed by Troels B. Folmann and Marcel Schweder. The score is primarily "traditional" in style with some contemporary elements for rhythmic effect. The music for this film was essentially "suspenseful" in nature.
Upon its theatrical debut in Germany, the score was well received by audiences. MARIENTHAL: STATE OF EMERGENCY is the 3rd film by director Oliver Hummell. For more information about Hill House Pictures, visit www.hillhouse.de.

With the film already receiving rave reviews, the directors were not quite sure they had the adequate score to suit the film's solemn and captivating subject. I was called in to re-score about 15 minutes worth of music. Essentially, consisting of the opening scene as well as the pivotal sequence surrounding the terrorist events of 9/11, this is the first of hopefully many projects with Patrick Shen and Greg Bennick.

Back in my acting days, I shared the lead in a feature film, entitled "Shimmer," with Marcus Klemp. We filmed for 3 months in Iowa, back in '93. It was never released on DVD so its nearly impossible to get your hands on. You can head over to IMDB though to find out more: http://imdb.com/title/tt0108119/.

Jon Crosby asked me to write custom show music for him when VAST was starting out on the "NUDE" tour in 2004. The result was a piece of music I call "The Vestige." At the start of their shows, the string piece (track 1) which I wrote for their website loops to heighten the anticipation, after which time "The Vestige" plays before the first song of the set, as an introduction to the band as they walk on stage.
I recently attending a concert in late 2006 and I was pleasantly surprised to hear my music still being used. Considering how much I sympathize with and respect Jon's music, not to mention that he has one of my favorite voices, this opportunity was somewhat similar to being asked to write opening music for the Beatles.

Infinium Labs selects 2Advanced Studios to create a 3:00 promotional video to unveil their new Phantom Game Console; scheduled for release later this year. This game console will directly compete against X-Box and the like.
To champion the spirit of the box and to deliver a fast-paced, high-energy video, I was called upon to create a stimulating and contemporary, cutting-edge soundtrack. The release of the video on August 17th, 2003 was received with open arms boasting several million hits within the first 48 hours. |

I composed and produced the theme music for the 9th annual Webby Awards! Several pieces of music were created for all the in-show animations and the main show opener/intro. Having also attended the event which was held in New York, the highlight I must say was when the host made a remark after the intro to the effect of "Well, that was dramatic!" The trip was worth it for that little piece of comedy. |

I wrote 34 ten second tracks to populate the "backbeats" library in the new MOTOGRAPH application, located within the StudioMoto Website. Users are given the ability to create a 30 second video/ringtone by mixing mashing all of the assets available to them within the application, of which sfx and backbeats are apart. Who doesn't know the name "O'Neill?!" Inventors of the wetsuit and fashion icons in the action sports space, O'Neill has been around for a long time. Well, a redesign of their corporate website was a long time in coming too. When 2Advanced was asked to handle this effort, I contributed the sound design and music to the project. The O'Neill site has since received many awards and seen much recognition across various industries. I was glad to be a part of this effort. Experience the site for yourself: www.oneill.com.

As with many projects by 2Advanced, I was called upon to compose the music and audio elements for the fourth release of www.2advanced.com. Version 4 ("Prophecy") introduced a new site soundtrack mechanism whereby the user can switch between "loop mode" and "cinematic mode." For this, four (4) unique loops as well as four (4) full-length tracks were created. The third soundtrack, entitled "Synergy," features a collaboration between myself and Eric Jordan. Eric had brilliantly put together a high-energy track to which I later added light percussion, an opening sequence, and a string orchestration to. Eric also holds credit for the second track in the "loop mode" of the site player. This loop became the inspiration for the second track found in the "Cinematic Mode;" for which I embellished upon Eric's loop and created a simple, yet motivational full-length track.
The new 2Advanced.com site received an enormous response upon its launch in July and has sense sustained millions of unique visitors.

Three (3) full-length tracks were written to add to the aesthetics and create an overall engaging experience. While two of the tracks are more staple dance arrangements, a third track was created as more of a cheesy"smooth jazz meets lounge funk" track.
Upon the request of Bacardi, soundbytes from the Bacardi and Cola episodes were infused into a couple of the tracks to keep the spirit of the site and the campaign alive.
Radio spots and Theatrical trailers can be heard and seen nationally promoting the new "Bacardi and Cola" campaign/website.

In an effort to further market to the DJ and "nightlife" community, Bacardi commissioned 2Advanced to build a custom audio mixer application as well as a complete loop library to facilitate online contests through the BacardiDJ.com Website.
In addition to loops created by Eric Jordan and Mark Wisnowski, I created more than 160 custom audio loops. Each loop is approximately 14 seconds long, grouped in various categories and primarily classified as Electronica and Hip Hop.
Two (2) full-length audio tracks were also created to add to the overall site experience. These tracks can be found in the Website Track Player, found in the upper-right hand corner of the interface.

For this project, I created a short piece of music to accompany the opening "credit reel" which introduces CIS Hollywood. SFX for functional noises and the main transitions were also created.
CIS Hollywood was founded in 1984 and remains a huge player when it comes to the transfer and compositing of visual effects. Some of CIS Hollywood's most recent work can be seen in: Matrix Revolutions, Pirates of the Caribbean, Scary Movie 3, Matrix Reloaded, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Cradle to the Grave, The Core, ...

Called upon to create an impressionable ambience for Jon Crosby's new promotional Website (www.realvast.com), I created a set of custom functional and transitional audio effects along with three (3) audio tracks, which loop as the Website's soundtrack. Users are given the ability to select between these three loops to choose the way in which they want to experience the site. While the second track is a REMIX of "Dying" (a VAST song from the first record), the other two are original creations with which I tried to consciously remain true to the style of Jon Crosby.
This project was truly a labor of love, as VAST has long been an inspiration and vicarious catharsis for me personally! This Website, in my opinion, represents a brilliant execution by Shane Mielke (otherwise known as Pixelranger). He successfully designed a marriage of visual aesthetics and functionality that is compelling and rich with subtle detail.
Jon Crosby is known for his talent as the artist "VAST." VAST was formerly signed to ELEKTRA RECORDS, with whom he released two successful albums ("Music For People" & "Visual Audio Sensory Theatre").

Celebrating 100 years of FORD, 2Advanced was commissioned to assist on the Centennial Website. As with many 2Advanced projects, I was called upon to provide a musical component to the Centennial Flash Intro. For this, a pre-existing song (Oblivion) was remixed to suit the looping nature of Flash.
"Oblivion" is a song produced for Steve Clark (a program Director at MUSICMATCH, Inc.). While the version used in this FORD piece is an instrumental, the full-length song features lyrics and vocals by Jenn Shepard and an original composition by Steve Clark. All music and song production was performed and produced by Elijah James Shepard.
